Top 10 AMLR Compliance Solutions in 2026 (EU AML Regulation)
The ten tools we would shortlist for EU AMLR due diligence, ranked by how much of the checklist one account covers: identity and eID, beneficial owners, screening, monitoring, transactions and review work. Didit ranks first.

In short
The EU Anti-Money Laundering Regulation, Regulation (EU) 2024/1624, applies from 10 July 2027 and puts customer due diligence into one directly applicable rulebook.[1][2] These are the ten tools we would shortlist to run that due diligence, ranked by how much of the regulation's checklist one account covers.
- Didit is #1. It publishes a guide that maps each AMLR requirement to a Didit workflow step, endpoint or webhook, and it covers KYC, KYB with a KYC per owner, sanctions and PEP screening with ongoing monitoring, transaction monitoring and wallet screening at published per-check prices.[2][3]
- Didit's Investigator agent prepares a cited report for each item waiting for review and decides only within the policy and autonomy level your team sets; sanctions matches always go to a person.[4]
- IDnow, Signicat and Veridas follow for European eID and video identification; Shufti, Trulioo, Persona, Daon, iDenfy and Facephi complete the list.
AMLR puts the customer due diligence rules into one directly applicable regulation. It binds credit and financial institutions, crypto-asset service providers (CASPs), gambling providers and the other obliged entities listed in Article 3.[2]
No software makes a company compliant on its own. Under Article 18 you remain the obliged entity, and six tasks can never be outsourced, including your risk assessment, the onboarding decision, FIU reporting and the approval of your detection criteria.[2] What a vendor can do is run the checks, keep the evidence and give your team more leverage. That is what we ranked.
What AMLR asks a verification stack to do

| Sanctions and PEP checks | Art. 20(1)(d) and (g), Art. 42 | Screening at onboarding and again on a regular basis[2] |
| Ongoing monitoring and refresh | Art. 26 | Customer data updated at least every year for higher-risk customers and every 5 years for the rest[2] |
| Transactions and suspicion reports | Art. 26(1), Art. 69 | Transaction monitoring and a case file your officer reports from[2] |
| Records | Art. 77 | Due diligence records kept for 5 years, then deleted[2] |

1. Didit: every AMLR check in one account, mapped article by article
Best for: fintechs, crypto-asset service providers, payment and gaming companies that want KYC, KYB, screening, monitoring and review work under one API and one published price list.
Didit is infrastructure for identity and fraud. Its docs include an AMLR compliance guide that takes the regulation's obligations one by one and names the Didit workflow step, API endpoint or webhook you can use for each part, with the article it comes from.[2] The guide is explicit about the line between tool and obliged entity: Didit provides the checks and the evidence, and you decide the risk profile and whether to onboard.[2] Your compliance officer can read the mapping before anyone signs anything.
Identify and verify: document or eID
Article 22(6) names two ways to verify a natural person: an identity document, or electronic identification.[2] Didit supports both in the same workflow. For the eID route, eIDs are live in production for MitID in Denmark, BankID in Sweden, the Finnish Trust Network, Smart-ID in Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania and Belgium, and Mobile-ID in Estonia and Lithuania. The European Digital Identity (EUDI) Wallet is listed as coming soon.[58] For the document route, Didit verifies 14,000+ document types across 220+ countries and territories, with liveness and face match against the document portrait.[59] A full KYC check (ID verification, passive liveness, face match, and device and IP analysis) costs $0.33.[3]
Where a national register holds the data, Didit also runs government and authoritative database checks, documented service by service: 45 countries plus a Global group in the catalog.[60]
Beneficial owners: KYB with a KYC for every owner
Company registry checks cover 220+ countries and territories, and business verification starts at $2.00.[3] You choose per country how much registry data you buy: company profile, shareholders, or ultimate beneficial owners.[61] Didit checks each declared owner and officer against the company's own documents, then screens them and sends each one a linked KYC.[62] The UBO threshold on the workflow is configurable, so you can set it to the regulation's "25% or more", and the decision shows what the register holds next to what the customer declared.[2]
Screening, ongoing monitoring and the refresh clock
AML screening costs $0.20 a check and ongoing monitoring $0.07 per profile per year.[3] You can turn ongoing AML monitoring on for up to 1,000 customers in one API call, with a cost estimate before you commit.[63] Re-screens fire webhooks when a result changes, and the AML report carries the date of the last screening, so you can show a supervisor that monitoring ran even when nothing changed.[2]
Transaction monitoring, cases and reports
Didit scores fiat and crypto transactions against real-time rules at $0.02 per transaction, in the same console as the identity record.[3][64] It ships over 150 preset rules, and you can backtest a rule against your own history before you switch it on.[65][66] Didit drafts SAR, STR and other FIU reports from the case and exports them as goAML XML and PDF for your filing. It does not submit anything to an FIU; your officer files.[67][2] For CASPs, Didit screens any crypto wallet address on demand for $0.15 per check, with a signed PDF report, through blockchain-analytics providers.[5]
Agents that take review work off your team
Didit is agentic: it automates the compliance work that usually needs another analyst. The Investigator agent reads each verification, business verification, AML monitoring hit, transaction alert or case waiting for review, writes a report with a recommendation, and cites every piece of evidence it used.[4] It decides on its own only within the policy and autonomy level your team sets per queue. Sanctions matches always go to a person, it never files a regulatory report, and every decision is logged and can be overridden.[4] Under Article 76(5) the human step in onboarding decisions stays yours: on the default Suggest level a person decides every item.[2][4] The Investigator runs on the Growth plan and above, Didit enables it per organization, and it costs $0.20 per reviewed item; and a support agent answers your users' support conversations from $0.02 per message.
Copilot works inside the Business Console: describe the flow you need and it builds a validated draft workflow, and it also creates questionnaires and database validation steps.[68] Publishing requires your confirmation, and when it edits a workflow, a change card lists what changed and Undo reverts it.[68][69] Your own agents connect through Didit's hosted MCP server over OAuth, with no API key to paste, and can create and backtest transaction rules, then hand them to you in test mode.[6][70]
Records and evidence
Every Didit session decision returns each check's result, the extracted fields, the capture images and videos, and the warnings behind the decision, through one API call.[71] Data retention can be set from one month to ten years or left unlimited, with on-demand deletion when your Article 77 period ends, and sessions carry the workflow ID and version your outsourcing register needs.[2] The workflow builder shows each step's price while you build, so a compliance flow is costed before it goes live.[72]
Prices as of 25 October 2026
Didit's plans change on 1 November 2026. The per-check list prices quoted here stay the same on the new plans.[73] Read the AMLR compliance guide and price your flow on the pricing page.

How we ranked
We build Didit, so read this as our ranking. We scored every vendor, Didit included, on four things a team preparing for AMLR needs: how much of the due diligence checklist one account covers (identity, owners, screening, monitoring, transactions, records), whether the vendor publishes AMLR material you can check, whether prices are public, and how much review work the product takes off your team. Every competitor fact comes from that vendor's own public pages, read on 25 October 2026. Where we could not find something, we say "not documented" rather than "not offered". We applied these criteria to every vendor, Didit included, and Didit ranks first in our editorial view because it scored highest on them. We did not compare liveness certifications or accuracy claims.
A vendor like Didit can run
- Document, eID, liveness and database checks
- Registry checks with a linked KYC per owner
- Sanctions and PEP screening and re-screening
- Transaction rules, cases and goAML exports
AMLR keeps with you
- Your business-wide risk assessment
- Each customer's risk profile and the onboarding decision
- Approving detection criteria
- Filing reports with your FIU
The split follows Article 18(3) as summarised in Didit's AMLR guide.[2]
Key takeaways
- AMLR applies from 10 July 2027, and you remain the obliged entity whichever vendor you pick.
- Didit maps each AMLR requirement to its workflows and endpoints, and covers KYC, KYB with owner KYC, screening, monitoring, transactions and wallet screening at published prices.
- The Investigator writes cited reviews and decides only within your policy; sanctions matches always reach a person.
Frequently asked questions
When does the EU AML Regulation apply?
Regulation (EU) 2024/1624 entered into force on 9 July 2024 and applies from 10 July 2027.[1][2]
Does a software vendor take over my AMLR obligations?
No. You remain the obliged entity and fully liable for outsourced tasks, and six tasks can never be outsourced, including the onboarding decision and FIU reporting. A vendor runs the checks and keeps the evidence.[2]
Does AMLR accept electronic identification instead of a document?
Yes. Article 22(6) names an identity document or electronic identification as the means of verification. Didit supports MitID, BankID Sweden, the Finnish Trust Network, Smart-ID and Mobile-ID today, with the EUDI Wallet coming soon.[2][58]
What beneficial ownership threshold does AMLR use?
25% or more. On Didit the UBO threshold is configurable on the KYB workflow, and each owner gets a linked KYC.[2][62]
Can an AI agent decide AML reviews under AMLR?
Article 76(5) allows decisions from automated processes only with meaningful human intervention in decisions to enter, refuse or keep a relationship. Didit's Investigator decides only within the policy and autonomy level you set, sends every sanctions match to a person and logs every decision.[2][4]
Which AMLR solution is best?
In our ranking, Didit, for teams that want one account that covers identity, owners, screening, monitoring and transactions at published prices. Its AMLR guide shows which feature serves each article, and its agents take review work off your team. We build Didit, so weigh that and check each vendor's current pages.[2][3]
