Didit vs Trust Stamp: published prices vs a quote-led KYC suite

Didit vs Trust Stamp from public pages: a hosted API with published per-check prices and the evidence of every check, against a quote-led KYC suite built on irreversible biometric tokens.

In short

Trust Stamp, listed on Nasdaq (IDAI), describes itself as privacy-first AI infrastructure, with identity as one of several lines next to Sovereign AI and Cyber Resilience. Its identity line includes identity verification, document verification and KYC onboarding, built on its IT² biometric tokenization and sold through a sales conversation.[1][5][11] Didit is a hosted API with published prices per check and a self-serve sandbox: liveness, document checks, face match, face search and AML screening on the same user.[12][13]

  • Didit publishes its prices per check: passive liveness $0.10, active liveness $0.15 per check in a workflow, and $0.33 for a full ID check. Trust Stamp's prices are not listed on truststamp.ai; its product pages ask you to talk to its team (checked 24 October 2026).[8][12]
  • Every Didit liveness check returns its evidence: a 0 to 100 score, the selfie, the video on active methods, every warning and the closest matching faces from your users.[14][15]
  • Trust Stamp is stronger on privacy by design: the face is converted to an irreversible IT² token and the template discarded, and at its top deployment tier the token never leaves the device. It also covers fingerprint, iris, voice and palm.[3][7]

Didit and Trust Stamp overlap on document, liveness, face match and screening. Both verify a document, prove a live person is present, match the face and screen the person against sanctions lists. The differences are in how you buy it, what you build on it, and how each one treats biometric data.

We build Didit, so read this as one side. Every Trust Stamp fact below comes from truststamp.ai, its investor site and its public API documentation, as we checked them on 24 October 2026, and each one is cited. Trust Stamp's prices are not listed on truststamp.ai (checked 24 October 2026), so we quote none. Where Trust Stamp is stronger, we say so.

Pay per check at a published price, or ask for a quote

This is the clearest difference. Trust Stamp's product pages end with "Talk to us" or "Book a working session with our team", and no price list, free tier or trial is listed on truststamp.ai (checked 24 October 2026).[3][6][8] That suits a bank scoping a large deployment; teams that want published prices before the first call can start on Didit's self-serve route.

On Didit, you open the Business Console, build a workflow and run it in the sandbox, then pay per check from prepaid credit.[12]

Prices as of 24 October 2026

Didit prices in this post are the list prices on docs.didit.me on 24 October 2026, which include 500 free checks a month for each core KYC feature. On 1 November 2026, those free checks become $10 of credit a month for any feature. Pay as you go stays, and the full ID check and watchlist screening are still $0.33 and $0.20 at list price.[12][27]

Add up the checks in your workflow, or compare plans on the pricing page.

What you get back from every check

Both vendors return more than a pass or fail. Trust Stamp says its responses "include everything", that each signal can be turned on or off, and that you can pull the media captured during verification.[3] Its flow returns a pass, step-up or reject decision with an audit trail.[3]

Didit returns the evidence and gives you a place to act on it. Each liveness check comes back in the API and the webhook with the method, a score from 0 to 100, the reference selfie, the capture video on active methods, an age estimate and up to five matching faces from your application, blocklisted and allowlisted faces first.[14] Every warning has a stable code, and in the workflow you choose what each one does: no action, review or decline. A detected attack, a missing face or a blocklisted face always declines.[15] Sessions sent to review land in the Business Console with that evidence on screen.[14]

See the liveness report and liveness warnings docs.

Duplicates, blocklists and face search on the same selfie

Trust Stamp screens the tokenized face 1:N for duplicates and known fraud, and says it matches across millions of records in milliseconds.[2][3] Didit does the same job inside every liveness check: the selfie is compared against your approved sessions and your face blocklist. A blocklisted face declines the session automatically, a near match goes to review, and for a duplicated face you set the action: no action, review or decline.[15][16][14] The blocklist also covers documents, phone numbers and emails.[17]

Privacy: where Trust Stamp is stronger

Trust Stamp's core idea is its patented IT² tokenization. The face is converted on the device into an irreversible token, the biometric template is discarded, and only the token is stored.[3] Its privacy page describes four deployment levels, from cold-storage retention of an encrypted image up to "on-device only", where no biometric image or raw template ever leaves the user's device.[7] The same token is reused to authenticate returning users and recover accounts, and the approach works with face, fingerprint, iris, voice and palm.[3]

Where Trust Stamp is ahead

If your requirement is that no biometric image is stored anywhere, or that verification runs on modalities other than the face, Trust Stamp's model fits it today. Didit stores the selfie and video as evidence, processes data in the EU by default (enterprise customers can request in-country processing, subject to availability), and lets you set retention from 1 month to 10 years.[7][22]

Liveness and certifications

Trust Stamp describes a liveness engine with passive liveness on every capture, an optional active challenge (blink, turn, smile), deepfake detection, and injection-attack defense with virtual camera and emulator fingerprinting and device attestation at capture time.[6] It says the engine is used inside an S&P 500 bank and over 100 banks worldwide.[6] We found no iBeta or other lab test result for it on truststamp.ai (checked 24 October 2026).[6][7]

Didit runs its own liveness models with three methods: passive, from a single capture; 3D Flash, which reads how projected light falls on a face; and 3D Action and Flash, which adds a random blink or nod.[13] Virtual cameras and injected frames raise their own warnings.[15] Compare the methods on the liveness detection page.

Lab tests and audits

Didit's iBeta Level 1 PAD test (ISO/IEC 30107-3, NIST-accredited lab) recorded zero successful attacks out of 360, across six categories. After a supervised test from November 2024 to July 2025, Spain's Tesoro Público, Banco de España, SEPBLAC and CNMV concluded that Didit's NFC and liveness verification is at least as safe as an in-person ID check.[21] Didit is audited for SOC 2 Type 2 and ISO/IEC 27001; Trust Stamp's trust center says it is renewing its SOC 2, Cyber Essentials Plus and D Seal certifications.[7][22]

One platform: liveness is one step of KYC

Trust Stamp's KYC onboarding authenticates the ID document, reads it by OCR, compares the portrait with a live selfie, and runs sanctions, PEP (politically exposed person) and adverse media screening in the same flow, across 14,000+ ID types in 200+ countries.[5] Business verification and transaction monitoring are not listed on truststamp.ai (checked 24 October 2026).[1][2]

On Didit, every check runs on the same user and session, assembled in a no-code workflow builder: ID verification, liveness, face match, database validation, AML screening and the rules that decide the status.[18] The same face is reused for age estimation, face search, duplicates and the blocklist. Registry checks for companies start at $2.00 and transaction monitoring is $0.02 per transaction.[28][29] Didit lists 14,000+ documents across 220+ countries and territories.[26]

Integration and switching

Trust Stamp documents a REST API built around verification sessions and steps, with JavaScript, Android and iOS SDKs, on its stg.orchestration.truststamp.net developer site, and promises to go live "in weeks, not quarters".[2][9][10] Didit connects through a hosted link, an iframe or the JavaScript SDK on the web, and iOS, Android, React Native and Flutter SDKs on mobile.[23][24] The fastest start is a hosted link: create a session, send the user to its URL, read the webhook. You can run both vendors side by side while you compare.

  • List the Trust Stamp steps you use today: document, liveness, 1:1 match, 1:N search, screening.
  • Note the term and notice period in your Trust Stamp agreement, and how you will keep the tokens you hold.
  • Rebuild the flow in the workflow builder, pick a liveness method, set thresholds and the duplicate-face action.
  • Route a share of new users to Didit and compare pass rates, review workload and total cost.

Frequently asked questions

What is the main difference between Didit and Trust Stamp?

How you buy and run it. Didit is a hosted API with published per-check prices and a self-serve sandbox. Trust Stamp sells through its team, with no published prices, and builds on irreversible biometric tokens.[3][7][12]

How much does Trust Stamp cost?

Prices are not listed on truststamp.ai (checked 24 October 2026). Its product pages ask you to contact its team.[6][8]

How much does Didit liveness cost?

In a workflow, passive liveness is $0.10 and active liveness $0.15 per check. A full ID check with document, passive liveness, face match and device and IP analysis is $0.33.[12]

Does Trust Stamp store biometric data?

Trust Stamp says it converts the face to an irreversible token on the device and stores only the token, and it offers deployment levels where nothing leaves the device.[3][7]

Does Didit detect duplicate accounts and banned users?

Yes. Face search runs inside every liveness check against your approved sessions and your face blocklist, and a blocklisted face declines the session.[16][17]

Which has a published liveness lab test?

Didit holds iBeta Level 1, with zero successful attacks out of 360, and a Spanish regulator attestation. We found no lab test result for Trust Stamp's liveness on truststamp.ai (checked 24 October 2026).[6][21]

Does Trust Stamp do AML screening or KYB?

Its KYC onboarding runs sanctions, PEP and adverse media screening. Business verification and transaction monitoring are not listed on truststamp.ai (checked 24 October 2026); Didit offers both.[5][28][29]

Is Didit a good Trust Stamp alternative?

For teams that want published prices, a self-serve start, the evidence of every check and KYB on one API, yes. If no stored biometrics or non-face modalities are the requirement, Trust Stamp fits better.[3][7]
