In short

AuthenticID is now part of Incode. Incode announced the acquisition on 19 August 2025, and authenticid.com is now a single page that routes visitors to an Incode demo form.[1][2] Didit is a hosted identity verification API: liveness, ID documents, face match, database validation and AML screening on the same user, at a public price per check.[6][7]

  • Every Didit liveness check comes back with its evidence: a 0 to 100 score, the reference selfie, the video on active checks, every warning and the closest matching faces from your own users.[14][15]
  • Passive liveness is $0.10 and active liveness $0.15 per check in a workflow, and a full ID check is $0.33.[6] No AuthenticID price is listed on authenticid.com (checked 24 October 2026).[1][5]
  • AuthenticID, with Incode, is stronger on enterprise scale: the combined company says it serves 8 of the 10 largest US banks and offers professional implementation services.[2]

Didit vs AuthenticID is a comparison that changed in August 2025. AuthenticID, headquartered in Kirkland, Washington, built its name on verifying government-issued ID documents for financial services firms, wireless carriers and identity verification platforms.[3] Incode then acquired it, and the AuthenticID site now says the company's expertise "now runs on Incode's AI platform".[1][2]

So a team that searches for AuthenticID today is really choosing between Incode and the alternatives. This post sets out what authenticid.com shows as we checked it on 24 October 2026, each fact cited, and how Didit compares on liveness, document checks, evidence, price and integration. We build Didit, so read it as one side. Where AuthenticID and Incode are stronger, we say so.

What you get back from every check

What a verification returns and which liveness method runs are not listed on authenticid.com (checked 24 October 2026); its footer shows ISO, SOC 2 and GDPR badges.[1] Incode's announcement describes the joint platform in general terms: holistic fraud signal analysis, multi-modal intelligence, real-time personhood verification and deepfake detection.[2]

Didit documents it publicly. Each liveness check in a session comes back in the decision API and the webhook with the method used, a confidence score from 0 to 100, the reference selfie, the capture video on active methods, an optional age estimate, and the closest matching faces from your own application.[14] Every warning carries a stable code. Most are configurable in the workflow as no action, review or decline, and a few, such as a presentation attack or a blocklisted face, always decline the session.[15] The same evidence appears in the Business Console for your analysts.

Document verification, AuthenticID's home ground

AuthenticID's law firm describes it as having "deep domain experience in verifying government-issued identification documents", used by financial services firms, wireless carriers and identity verification platforms.[3] That document experience is what Incode bought, together with what Incode calls AuthenticID's "deep expertise in regulated, high-volume environments".[2]

Didit checks the ID document in the same session as the selfie. Its document list covers 14,000+ documents across 220+ countries and territories,[11] and the full ID check, with document, passive liveness, face match and device and IP analysis, is $0.33.[6] Database validation then checks the extracted data against government and other authoritative databases, priced by country.[6]

Duplicates, blocklists and face search on the same selfie

On Didit, every liveness check compares the selfie against every other face you have seen in your application, including your face blocklist. A blocklisted face declines the session automatically, and for a duplicated face you pick the action yourself.[14][15][16] The blocklist also covers documents, phone numbers and emails, and declines any new session that matches one.[17]

Pay per check, at a published price

No AuthenticID price is listed on authenticid.com (checked 24 October 2026). Its /pricing page returns not found, and the path offered on the home page is the Incode form, which asks for your estimated annual verifications in bands from under 50,000 to over 500,000.[1][5]

On Didit, you know what a session costs before it goes live. The full ID check is $0.33. Used on their own in a workflow, passive liveness is $0.10 per check, active liveness $0.15 and face match $0.05.[6] Age estimation runs on the same selfie inside the liveness step and is priced at $0.10,[18] and AML screening is $0.20.[10] On today's pricing, the core KYC checks include 500 free checks a month each.[6]

Prices as of 24 October 2026

Didit prices in this post are the list prices on docs.didit.me on 24 October 2026. Didit moves to new plans on 1 November 2026: pay as you go stays, and the 500 free checks a month become $10 of credit a month that you can use on any check.[20]

Add up the checks in your workflow, or compare plans on the pricing page.

Hosted and easy to switch

Integration details for AuthenticID are not listed on authenticid.com (checked 24 October 2026).[1] On Didit, you run no verification servers on any route: a hosted verification link, an iframe or the JavaScript SDK on the web,[12] and iOS, Android, React Native and Flutter SDKs on mobile.[13] Each one runs the same workflow, so you can start with a link and move to an SDK later.

On Didit, the checks a regulated onboarding needs run on the same user in one session, assembled in a no-code workflow builder.[19] AML screening runs against 1,300+ watchlists for $0.20,[10] and the face captured once is reused for face match, age estimation, face search, duplicate detection and the blocklist.[14][16][18]

Where AuthenticID and Incode are stronger

Scale and enterprise delivery. Incode's announcement says the combined company processed 4.1B+ identity checks in 2024, serves 8 of the 10 largest banks in the United States and 8 of the 9 largest telecom companies in North America, and pairs its technology with professional services and implementation.[2] Incode's page on authenticid.com also cites claims such as age verification for 65M+ users and support for US federal elections.[1]

Where AuthenticID and Incode are ahead

For a very large US bank or carrier that wants a vendor already working with its peers, and a services team to run the rollout, the combined company is built for that buyer. Workforce access and digital signature also appear on its form, and Didit does not offer them.[1][2]

What Didit brings on liveness

Didit runs its own liveness models with three methods set in the workflow: passive, from a single capture; flashing (3D Flash), which uses dynamic light pattern analysis on the face; and active 3D (3D Action and Flash), which adds a randomized action sequence.[7][14] Didit processes data in the EU by default, with retention you set.[9] Compare the methods on the liveness detection page.

Lab and regulator results

In iBeta's Level 1 test, 360 presentation attacks across six categories got zero through.[8] After a supervised test, Spain's Tesoro Público, Banco de España, SEPBLAC and CNMV concluded that Didit's NFC and liveness verification is at least as safe as an in-person ID check under anti-money laundering rules.[8]

Frequently asked questions

Is AuthenticID still an independent company?

No. Incode announced on 19 August 2025 that it had acquired AuthenticID, and authenticid.com now says "AuthenticID is now part of Incode".[1][2]

What is the main difference between Didit and AuthenticID?

AuthenticID is now sold as part of Incode, through a sales form. Didit is a hosted API with liveness, documents, AML and database checks, documented publicly and priced per check.[1][6]

How much does AuthenticID cost?

No AuthenticID price is listed on authenticid.com, and its /pricing page returned not found when we checked on 24 October 2026. The Incode form asks for your annual verification volume.[1][5]

How much does Didit liveness cost?

In a workflow, passive liveness is $0.10 and active liveness $0.15 per check. A full ID check with document, passive liveness, face match and device and IP analysis is $0.33.[6]

What was AuthenticID known for?

Verifying government-issued ID documents for financial services firms, wireless carriers and identity verification platforms, according to the release from its law firm on the sale.[3]

Does Didit verify ID documents too?

Yes. Didit lists 14,000+ documents across 220+ countries and territories, checked in the same session as the selfie, with face match and database validation.[6][11]

Does Didit detect duplicate accounts?

Yes. Every liveness check compares the selfie against the other faces in your application and against your face blocklist. A blocklisted face declines the session, and you choose what a duplicated face does.[15][16]

Can I run Didit next to AuthenticID while I switch?

Yes. They are separate integrations, so you can send a share of new users through Didit, compare results and cost, and move the rest when your agreement allows.[12][13]

Is Didit a good AuthenticID alternative?

For teams that want public prices, a self-serve start and the evidence of every check on one API, yes. For a very large US bank or carrier that wants implementation services from a vendor its peers use, Incode fits that requirement better.[2][6]
