SÃO PAULO, August 18, 2026 — Unico, a leading global identity network, and Didit, the developer-first infrastructure for identity and fraud, have announced a strategic partnership to expand access to advanced identity verification technology for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) across Brazil. Through this collaboration, Didit has selected Unico IDCloud as the identity verification network behind its checks in Brazil, giving any business that verifies Brazilian individuals direct access to the same secure infrastructure used by major national and global corporations to protect their digital operations.

Two models, one goal

While Unico has historically focused on consultative sales for large-scale enterprises, serving four of the five largest private banks in the country and nine of the ten largest retailers in Brazil, Didit offers a developer-first, self-service model. This model allows developers to integrate robust identity and fraud checks into their products in minutes — or, through Didit's Model Context Protocol (MCP) server, to describe the compliance flow they need in a single prompt and have an AI coding assistant generate the implementation. The partnership bridges these two approaches, allowing smaller, fast-growing companies to benefit from Unico's industry-leading technology hosted on the Unico IDCloud platform without the need for complex, enterprise-level sales cycles.

Didit brings to the partnership a single platform covering the full lifecycle of identity and fraud — user verification (KYC), business verification (KYB), anti-money-laundering screening and real-time transaction monitoring — composed in a no-code workflow builder and delivered through one API with public pricing, no minimums, and 500 free verifications per month. More than 2,000 companies already build on Didit across 220+ countries and territories, with support for 14,000+ document types and 48+ languages. Didit is the only provider formally attested by an EU member-state government — Spain's Tesoro, Banco de España and SEPBLAC — as safer than in-person verification.

For the verification of Brazilian individuals, Unico IDCloud is the network behind Didit's checks. SMEs leveraging Unico IDCloud through Didit will now benefit from Unico's powerful network effect. With a vast database of verified credentials covering 96% of the country's economically active population, Unico enables legitimate users to be verified with 100% assertiveness in under three seconds with a high first-attempt success rate, drastically reducing user drop-off rates and increasing conversion.

What the partners say

"Our mission is to build trust in the digital society, making it accessible to businesses of all sizes," says Fernanda Beato, General Manager for Brazil at Unico. "While our consultative sales model continues to serve massive organizations with custom requirements, this partnership connects Didit to the Unico IDCloud platform, creating a frictionless path for small and medium-sized businesses to instantly protect their platforms. By combining our advanced verification capabilities and unmatched network effect with Didit's self-service agility, we are democratizing secure access and fostering a safer, more reliable digital ecosystem in the country."

"Brazil is one of the most demanding identity markets in the world, and Unico has built something genuinely exceptional there," says Alberto Rosas, co-founder and chief executive officer of Didit. "That is why we chose Unico IDCloud as the network behind our verifications in Brazil — its coverage, its speed and its accuracy are outstanding. What Didit adds is reach: any company, from a two-person startup to a scaling marketplace, can now turn it on in minutes, often from a single prompt. I could not be more excited about this partnership. Together we can reduce fraud in Brazil and put state-of-the-art verification within reach of every company in the country, whatever its size."

Built for immediate impact

The partnership will enable developers to access Unico's technology directly through Didit's platform. This integration is designed to be low-code, requiring minimal development time and providing an immediate shield against identity fraud. By simplifying the onboarding process for smaller enterprises, both companies aim to accelerate digital inclusion and elevate security standards across the entire Brazilian market.
