Top 10 eID and EUDI Wallet Verification Providers in 2026
The ten providers we would shortlist to accept national eIDs, bank IDs and EUDI-style wallets, ranked by which schemes are live today, the fallback when a user has none, and what the account does after onboarding.

In short
A national eID or bank ID lets a customer prove who they are by signing in with an identity they already hold, instead of photographing a document. These are the ten providers we would shortlist to accept eIDs and digital wallets that hold identity credentials in 2026, ranked by what each one does with the identity once it arrives.
- Didit is #1. MitID, BankID Sweden, the Finnish Trust Network, Smart-ID and Mobile-ID are live in production as an ID verification method, with the EUDI Wallet listed as coming soon, and the same account runs document KYC, KYB, AML screening, transaction monitoring and review agents.[1][2][3][4][5]
- Signicat, Hopae, Trinsic and Authologic are eID specialists; IDnow, Shufti, Veridas, Daon and Yoti add eID or wallet methods to wider verification products.
- Check each vendor's wallet list for "live" versus "coming soon" before you plan a launch around it.
eIDs matter more each year in Europe. From 10 July 2027, the EU AML Regulation names electronic identification as one of two means of verifying a customer, next to an identity document.[6] The European Digital Identity (EUDI) Wallet is also on its way.
An eID only answers one question, though: who signed in. A regulated business still has to screen that person, check the company behind them, watch their transactions and review the edge cases. So we ranked providers on the whole job, not on the length of a scheme list.

"Not documented" means not documented on the vendor's public pages we checked on 25 October 2026. Each row traces to the sources cited in its vendor cell. Crypto wallet screening checks blockchain addresses; it is a different product from credential wallets.
1. Didit: eIDs inside a full identity and fraud platform
Best for: fintechs, crypto platforms, marketplaces and gaming companies in Europe that want eID sign-in, document KYC and everything after onboarding in one account.
Didit is infrastructure for identity and fraud. In Didit, wallet sign-in is one of three ID verification methods: the user signs in with a national eID or bank identity they already hold, and that provider shares a signed set of attributes with Didit.[1]
Live wallets, and what "coming soon" means
| Identity product | Countries | Status in production |
|---|---|---|
| MitID | Denmark | Live |
| BankID | Sweden | Live |
| Finnish Trust Network | Finland | Live |
| Smart-ID | Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Belgium | Live |
| Mobile-ID | Estonia, Lithuania | Live |
| EUDI Wallet | EU member states | Coming soon |
From Didit's eID page, read 25 October 2026. A wallet marked coming soon cannot be enabled yet.[1]
The result carries the assurance tier "cryptographic": an identity provider authenticated the person and signed the attributes it returned.[1] You can integrate in two ways. The standalone eID APIs give your own interface a start endpoint per wallet, with no workflow to create. The Sessions API runs Didit's hosted journey, with workflow rules and a document fallback for users who do not hold the wallet.[1] Cancelled, expired or refused sign-ins do not create a wallet charge.[1] Didit is the integration that lets your customer use the wallet; it is not itself an eID scheme, and whether a scheme meets your regulation is your assessment to make.[6]
When the user has no eID
The fallback is a full document check. Didit verifies 14,000+ document types across 220+ countries and territories.[54] A full KYC check (ID verification, passive liveness, face match, and device and IP analysis) costs $0.33.[2] Where an authoritative source holds the data, Didit adds government and authoritative database checks, documented service by service in 45 countries plus a Global group.[55] In Argentina, Nigeria, Panama and South Africa, where the register holds a photo, Didit matches the user's selfie against it.[56]
Everything after sign-in
An eID tells you who signed in. The rest of the job runs in the same account:
- Businesses: company registry checks in 220+ countries and territories from $2.00,[2] and each declared owner and officer is checked against the company's documents, screened and sent a linked KYC.[57][3]
- Screening: AML screening at $0.20 a check and ongoing monitoring at $0.07 per profile per year.[2]
- Money movement: transaction monitoring at $0.02 per transaction with over 150 preset rules, and crypto wallet address screening at $0.15 per check, with a signed PDF report, through blockchain-analytics providers.[2][58][7]
- Evidence: every session decision returns each check's result, the extracted fields, the capture images and videos, and the warnings behind it, through one API call.[59]
Agents that do the review work
Didit is agentic. The Investigator agent reads each verification, business verification, AML hit, transaction alert or case waiting for review, writes a report with a recommendation, and cites the evidence it used. It decides on its own only within the policy and autonomy level your team sets, never files a regulatory report, and logs every decision.[5] It runs on the Growth plan and above, Didit enables it per organization, and it costs $0.20 per reviewed item. A support agent answers your users' support conversations from $0.02 per message.
Describe the verification flow you need and Copilot builds a validated draft workflow, citing the documentation it used.[60] Publishing requires your confirmation, and when it edits a workflow, a change card lists what changed and Undo reverts it.[60][61] Your own AI agents operate Didit through its hosted MCP server over OAuth, with no API key to paste.[8]
Prices as of 25 October 2026
Didit's plans change on 1 November 2026; the per-check list prices quoted here stay the same.[62] Wallet verification is priced per completed sign-in on Didit's eID page.

How we ranked
We build Didit, so read this as our ranking. We scored every provider, Didit included, on four questions: which eIDs and wallets are live today (not announced), what happens when a user has no eID, what the same account does after onboarding (business checks, screening, monitoring, review work), and whether prices are public. Every competitor fact comes from that vendor's own public pages, read on 25 October 2026. Where we could not find something, we say "not documented" rather than "not offered". Scheme counts differ in how they are counted, so we quote each vendor's own figure and do not compare them. We applied these criteria to every vendor, Didit included, and Didit ranks first in our editorial view because it scored highest on them.
Key takeaways
- Didit runs MitID, BankID Sweden, the Finnish Trust Network, Smart-ID and Mobile-ID live today, with the EUDI Wallet coming soon, inside a full KYC, KYB and fraud platform.
- Signicat documents eID access alongside KYB, AML screening and transaction monitoring; Hopae documents eID acceptance, with AML screening, KYB and transaction monitoring not documented on the pages we reviewed.
- Read every wallet list for "live" versus "coming soon" before you plan a market launch.
Frequently asked questions
What is eID verification?
The user signs in with a national eID or bank identity they already hold, and that provider shares a signed set of attributes with the business, instead of the user photographing a document.[1]
Can I verify users with the EUDI Wallet on Didit today?
Not yet. Didit lists the EUDI Wallet as coming soon, and a wallet marked coming soon cannot be enabled. MitID, BankID Sweden, the Finnish Trust Network, Smart-ID and Mobile-ID are live in production today.[1]
What happens when a user has no eID?
On Didit the hosted journey can fall back to a document check, which runs as a separate check on top of the eID step and is billed under document verification pricing.[1][2]
Is eID verification accepted under the EU AML Regulation?
AMLR names electronic identification as one of the two means of verifying a customer, next to an identity document. Whether a given scheme meets the requirement for your use is your assessment to make.[6]
Which eID verification provider is best?
In our ranking, Didit, for teams that want eID sign-in plus document KYC, KYB with a KYC per owner, AML screening, transaction monitoring and review agents in one account at published prices. We build Didit, so weigh that and check each vendor's current pages.[1][2][3][5]
