Didit vs Veriff: the KYC alternative for identity and fraud

Didit and Veriff compared using public prices and product scope. Didit's $0.33 document KYC bundle excludes government database and national eID fees; fraud checks and linked business verification share one account.

In short

If you are looking at Veriff alternatives, Didit runs the same core check for less, and the same account keeps working after onboarding with transaction monitoring, wallet screening, KYB and agents that review cases for your team.[1][5]

  • Veriff Self-Serve costs $0.80, $1.39 or $1.89 per verification, with monthly minimum commitments of $49, $99 or $209.[1] Didit's core document KYC bundle is $0.33, pay as you go; government database and national eID checks cost extra. These packages have different scopes.[5]
  • Transaction monitoring and crypto wallet screening are not documented on Veriff's public pages.[2][4] On Didit they cost $0.02 per transaction and $0.15 per check (pay as you go).[5][7]
  • Veriff's developer docs say some of its database checks run against regional databases aggregated by a third party.[3] Didit documents each database service per country, inside the same workflow.[15]

Most teams that compare Didit vs Veriff are past their first few thousand users. The verification flow works, the bill grows with every session, and the next asks arrive: screen the business, watch the money, review fewer cases by hand. This comparison is written for that moment.

Veriff sells document-and-selfie identity verification with add-on database, AML, age, biometric and business-verification checks.[1] We build Didit, so read this as our side. Every Veriff fact below comes from Veriff's own public pages, read on 25 October 2026, and each one is cited.

Government evidence and fraud signals on the same record

Didit did the hard work of connecting national government databases directly. Database Validation covers 45 countries plus a Global group (country services can run standalone or as an extra check alongside document verification, liveness and face match; Global identity enrichment is standalone API only). A document and selfie answer different questions from an official record: the lookup checks identity fields against the selected authoritative source. Combine that government-grade evidence with device fingerprinting, IP analysis and email or phone risk signals in the same workflow, record and API response.

Non-document lookup is a separate identity-verification route: the person supplies an identity number and the details required for that country, without capturing a document. Database Validation can instead corroborate data collected by earlier workflow steps. Sources, returned fields, consent requirements and prices vary by service. Argentina RENAPER and Panama SIB support selfie-to-registry-photo checks. A matching registry record is evidence to assess under your policy; it is not a guarantee against impersonation.

Confirmed national eIDs, country by country

The current scheme documentation confirms these live routes. The National eIDs page explains the workflow and document fallback. The issuer signs identity attributes and Didit checks the result in the same verification workflow.

National eIDConfirmed countries
MitIDDenmark
BankID SwedenSweden
iDINNetherlands
Finnish Trust NetworkFinland
Smart-IDEstonia, Latvia, Lithuania and Belgium
Mobile-IDEstonia and Lithuania

The signed result includes the name, date of birth, scheme identifier and assurance information supplied by the scheme; MitID uses a pseudonymised CPR alias. These live routes do not return a portrait, so an eID result is not itself a selfie match. If your policy needs face matching, collect a valid reference through document capture or a qualifying lookup; the eID result alone supplies none. Configure document fallback and the appropriate workflow branch. EUDI Wallet acceptance is coming soon in the eIDAS 2.0 context; the broader catalog must not be read as live country coverage.

Government database services and national eID checks have their own charges. They are separate from the $0.33 document KYC bundle, as are fallback and additional completed modules. Published module prices let a team cost the actual workflow. The advantage is practical: official identity evidence and fraud signals stay connected, with the selected checks and their results available through one integration.

In comparison, Veriff's developer documentation notes that its database checks rely on regional databases aggregated by a third-party aggregator rather than direct country-by-country catalog routing (devdocs.veriff.com/llms.txt, read 25 October 2026). Furthermore, support for national eID schemes like MitID, BankID, or FTN, as well as upcoming EUDI Wallet acceptance, is not confirmed in Veriff's public sources reviewed on 25 October 2026 (veriff.com/product).

Pricing: per-check prices against plan minimums

Veriff publishes its Self-Serve prices. Essential is $0.80 per verification with a $49 minimum monthly commitment, Plus is $1.39 with $99, and Premium is $1.89 with $209. AML screening adds $0.64 per verification and ongoing monitoring $0.09. Enterprise is priced in an order form rather than at a published rate.[1]

Veriff Self-Serve pricing with Essential, Plus and Premium per-verification prices and monthly minimum commitments

Veriff's Self-Serve plans on 25 October 2026: a price per verification plus a minimum monthly commitment on each plan.

Didit publishes list prices for its core modules, with database checks priced per country, and charges a session only for the checks it runs. The full KYC check, meaning document, passive liveness, face match and device and IP analysis, is $0.33. AML screening is $0.20 and ongoing AML monitoring is $0.07 per profile per year.[5]

The same month, at list price

Take 1,000 document-and-selfie verifications with AML screening. On Veriff Essential that is 1,000 × ($0.80 + $0.64) = $1,440.[1] On Didit it is 1,000 × ($0.33 + $0.20) = $530.[5] Price your own mix on both pricing pages; Veriff's human review sits on Plus and Premium,[1] and Didit's Investigator costs $0.20 per reviewed item, separately from the checks in this example.

Two more lines in Veriff's Self-Serve terms matter as you grow: usage is capped at 15 sessions per minute and 10,000 sessions a month.[1] Didit's plans change on 1 November 2026, and the per-check list prices quoted here stay the same.[24]

After onboarding: transaction monitoring, wallet screening, Travel Rule

Didit scores every fiat or crypto transaction against real-time rules at $0.02 per transaction. It ships 150+ preset rules, lets you backtest a rule on your own history before it goes live, and can hold a flagged transaction until the user takes one selfie that matches the face they already verified.[6][8][9][10] Cases end in SAR and STR drafts exported as goAML XML and PDF for your team to file.[11]

For crypto, Didit screens supported blockchain addresses at $0.15 per check pay as you go, or lets you bring your own available provider key with no price assigned to that route, generating signed PDF reports and exchanging Travel Rule data in IVMS 101.[7][25] Transaction monitoring, wallet screening and SAR or Travel Rule case handling are not documented on Veriff's public pages reviewed on 25 October 2026.[4]

KYB that verifies every owner

Didit checks company information using the registry tiers available for its jurisdiction and lets you choose per country how much registry data to buy: company profile, shareholders, or ultimate beneficial owners, from $2.00 per business.[13] Each declared owner and officer is confirmed against the company's own documents, screened, and sent a linked KYC.[12]

One business verification, one KYC per person behind it.[12]

Veriff markets business verification across 300+ jurisdictions that returns registry data and ownership structure. A KYC linked to each owner is not documented on its pages, and business verification is not listed in the Self-Serve plans.[1][2]

Database checks: documented per country, in the same flow

Didit lists each government and authoritative database service per country with its inputs, outputs and prerequisites: 45 countries plus a global group in the catalog, including government-source checks such as Argentina RENAPER, Brazil CPF, Mexico CURP, Panama SIB and South Africa Home Affairs.[15] Argentina RENAPER and Panama SIB document portrait matching. Nigeria and South Africa check a selfie against the official record and return a verification verdict rather than a portrait.[16][17]

Veriff documents official checks such as Mexico INE and Brazil CPF, and its developer docs say its "Match" database verifications run against official regional databases aggregated by a third-party aggregator.[3]

Agents on your side: Investigator, Copilot and MCP

Didit is agentic. The Investigator agent reads each verification, transaction alert or case waiting for review and writes a report with a recommendation and cited evidence; it decides alone only within your policy and autonomy level, never files a regulatory report, and logs every decision.[20] It runs on Didit's Growth plan and above, Didit enables it per organization, and it costs $0.20 per reviewed item. A support agent answers your users' support conversations from $0.02 per message.

Copilot builds a validated draft workflow from a description. Publishing requires your confirmation, and when it edits a workflow, a change card lists what changed and Undo reverts it.[21][22] Your own agents connect to Didit's hosted MCP server over OAuth 2.1, with no API key to paste, and can inspect verifications, alerts, cases and evidence.[18][19] An official Veriff MCP server or agent toolset is not documented on its pages; its developer docs publish an llms.txt file.[3]

Workflows, review and the full evidence

Didit's workflow builder shows each step's price while you build, merges branches back into one path and warns about a branch that contradicts the outcome it routes to.[14] Every session decision returns each check's result, the extracted fields, the capture images and videos and the warnings behind it, in one API call.[23]

To evaluate what this consolidation means in practice, consider an illustrative monthly compliance and onboarding workload for a scaling fintech:

  • 10,000 full KYC verifications (document, passive liveness, face match, device & IP analysis): 10,000 × $0.33 = $3,300
  • 10,000 initial AML screenings: 10,000 × $0.20 = $2,000
  • 100,000 real-time transaction monitoring checks: 100,000 × $0.02 = $2,000
  • 10,000 crypto wallet risk screenings (pay as you go): 10,000 × $0.15 = $1,500
  • Subtotal: $8,800

This illustrative subtotal excludes optional government database checks, national eID fees, KYB registry queries, and organization-specific terms. Because Veriff does not publish list prices for transaction monitoring, crypto wallet screening, or custom enterprise volumes (which require an order form), a direct total percentage comparison cannot be mathematically calculated across the full stack. However, consolidating these capabilities into Didit's unified platform provides this buyer with a single unified customer profile, one integration API, and complete transparency on per-check operational costs without managing multiple disparate vendor agreements.
