Didit vs Chainalysis: crypto compliance with KYC in one account
Didit vs Chainalysis from public pages: KYC, wallet screening, transaction monitoring, Travel Rule and KYB with a KYC per owner in one account and one API, with a published price for each check and agents that review.

In short
Didit vs Chainalysis is a question about how many vendors a crypto compliance team runs. Didit puts the person, the business, the wallet and the transactions in one account and one API, with a published price for each check. Chainalysis connects to partners for knowing the customer and publishes no prices on the pages we read.[2][3][8]
- A full Didit KYC check is $0.33, wallet screening is $0.15 a check and transaction monitoring is $0.02 a transaction, at list price.[8] Chainalysis's KYT page mentions "competitive pricing" without a figure.[3]
- Didit verifies business customers from $2.00 and sends each owner and officer a linked KYC.[8][16] General KYB with owner verification is not documented on Chainalysis's public pages (checked 2026-10-25).[5]
- Didit's Investigator agent reads each alert or case waiting for review and writes a cited report; Copilot builds workflows by conversation; your own agents operate Didit through MCP.[21][23][25]
Teams looking for a Chainalysis alternative usually run an exchange, an on-ramp, a custody product or a fintech app that holds digital assets. Their compliance job has four parts: verify the person, verify the business when the customer is a company, screen the wallet that funds the account, and watch the money after sign-up. Most stacks buy those parts from different vendors and join them in the backend.
Chainalysis sells blockchain intelligence for crypto transaction monitoring, wallet screening and investigations.[1] We build Didit, so read this as our side. Every Chainalysis fact below comes from Chainalysis's own public pages, read on 25 October 2026, and each one is cited. We do not compare chain coverage or attribution data; this post is about the compliance workflow around the wallet.

Know the person behind the wallet in the same account
A wallet risk result says where the money has been. The regulator also asks who your customer is. On Didit, both answers sit on the same record. A full KYC check (ID verification, passive liveness, face match, and device and IP analysis) costs $0.33, and AML screening of the person costs $0.20.[8] Didit supports 14,000+ document types, and every session decision returns each check's result, the extracted fields, the capture images and videos, and the warnings behind the decision, through one API call.[27]
Chainalysis's crypto compliance page says it integrates with partners for KYC/AML, fraud prevention and case management tools.[2] A first-party identity-verification product, liveness or face biometrics, and name-based sanctions and PEP screening of individuals are not documented on Chainalysis's public pages (checked 2026-10-25).[2][4]

Wallet screening with a price on the page, Travel Rule in the same account
Screen any crypto wallet address on demand for $0.15 per check, with a signed PDF report.[10] The screening runs on blockchain-analytics providers; you order it, read it and pay for it in your Didit account. Run it on demand, for example when a user adds a new withdrawal address, in the same account where that user's document, selfie and AML result already sit.
Chainalysis's Address Screening screens wallet addresses and liquidity pools through a UI or an API.[4] Its product pages publish no price; the KYT page refers to "competitive pricing", and list prices, a free tier or self-serve plans are not documented on Chainalysis's public pages (checked 2026-10-25).[1][3] On Didit you can work out the cost of screening every deposit address before you talk to anyone.

Chainalysis's KYT page on 25 October 2026: "competitive pricing" is mentioned, but no price figure is shown.[3]
Travel Rule in the same account
Didit exchanges Travel Rule data in IVMS 101 and can route transfers between Didit customers directly or by secure email when no protocol reaches the counterparty.[15] Chainalysis describes Travel Rule implementation as something it delivers through strategic partnerships.[6]
Transaction monitoring tied to the verified person
Didit scores every transaction against real-time rules at $0.02 per transaction, and alerts and cases open in the same console as the KYC record.[8][9] Rules support regex, fuzzy matching, date comparisons and list matching, in the API and the console.[30] Didit ships over 150 preset transaction-monitoring rules, and you can backtest a rule against your own history before you switch it on, from the console, the API or an AI agent.[11][12]
What happens on a hit
When a rule flags a transaction, Didit can hold it and ask the user for one selfie, matched against the face they already verified.[13] Cases end in SAR, STR and other FIU report drafts, exported as goAML XML and PDF for your team to file.[14]
Chainalysis KYT monitors on-chain activity and generates alerts within seconds of a transaction.[3] Its VASP Risking product assesses crypto exposure inside fiat wires to and from crypto businesses, while a general fiat transaction-monitoring rule engine is not documented on Chainalysis's public pages (checked 2026-10-25).[5] Re-verifying the user's identity when a transaction is flagged is also not documented there.[3]
KYB with a KYC for every owner
Didit's business verification checks the company in registries across 220+ countries and territories, and you choose per country how much registry data you buy: company profile, shareholders, or ultimate beneficial owners. Business verification is priced from $2.00 per business.[8][17] Didit checks each declared owner and officer against the company's own documents, then screens them and sends each one a linked KYC.[16] It also validates EU VAT numbers through VIES as part of the check.[17]
Chainalysis's VASP Risking gives risk assessments of VASPs for onboarding clients and partners, with legal entity names, jurisdictions and licenses.[2][5] General business verification, with registry lookup, owner identification and KYC of those owners, is not documented on Chainalysis's public pages (checked 2026-10-25).[5]

Agents that do the review work
Chainalysis documents Chainalysis agents, in beta, for querying blockchain intelligence and building workflows in plain language; access is limited to its Data Solutions customers.[7] A public MCP server for customers' own AI agents is not documented on Chainalysis's public pages (checked 2026-10-25).[7]
Didit is agentic: it automates the review work that usually needs another analyst. The Investigator agent reads each verification, transaction alert or case waiting for review, writes a report with a recommendation and cites every piece of evidence it used. It decides on its own only within the policy and autonomy level your team sets, it never files a regulatory report, and every action is logged.[23] It runs on Didit's Growth plan and above, Didit enables it per organization, it is not available in sandbox, and it costs $0.20 per reviewed item. A support agent answers your users' support conversations from $0.02 per message.
Copilot works inside the Business Console. Describe the verification flow you need and it builds a validated draft workflow, citing the documentation it used; it also creates questionnaires and database validation steps.[25] Publishing requires your confirmation, and when it edits a workflow, a change card lists what changed and Undo reverts it.[24]
Your own agents connect through Didit's hosted MCP server at mcp.didit.me, over OAuth 2.1 with Log in with Didit. There is no API key to paste.[21] An agent can create, backtest and install transaction-monitoring rules, then hand them to you in test mode, and it can explain why a session was declined by tracing the warning, status rule or reviewer override behind it.[22]
Backtest on your own history
A rule task run by an agent through the Didit MCP. A person switches it on.[22]
Government database checks for the fiat side
Didit's catalog documents government and authoritative database checks in 45 countries plus a Global group: a government register in most countries, and a credit-bureau, financial-services, utility or residential file in some. Each entry lists the inputs it needs and the fields it returns.[18] Where the national register holds a photo, as in Argentina, Nigeria, Panama and South Africa, Didit matches the user's selfie against it.[19] Government identity-database checks are not documented on Chainalysis's public pages (checked 2026-10-25).[2]
| Country | What you send | What comes back |
|---|---|---|
| Argentina, RENAPER | Document number, gender, selfie | Names, date of birth, tax ID, face match score[18] |
| Mexico, CURP | CURP | CURP status, names, date and state of birth[18] |
| Nigeria, BVN | BVN and a selfie | Names and date of birth, only after the selfie matches[20] |
| South Africa, Home Affairs | National ID number | Register photo to match against the selfie[19] |
Pricing: a basket you can calculate today
Didit publishes a list price for each module and charges a session only for the checks it runs. The workflow builder shows each step's price while you build, so the cost of a flow is visible before it goes live.[8][26] Ongoing AML monitoring is $0.07 per profile per year, and you can turn it on for up to 1,000 customers in one API call, with a cost estimate before you commit.[8][29]
| Step for one new crypto customer | Didit list price |
|---|---|
| Full KYC: document, passive liveness, face match, device and IP | $0.33[8] |
| AML screening of the person | $0.20[8] |
| Screening the deposit wallet | $0.15[8] |
| Each monitored transaction | $0.02[8] |
| Business customer registry check | from $2.00[8] |
Prices are not documented on Chainalysis's public pages (checked 2026-10-25), so the same basket cannot be priced from them.[1][3]
Prices as of 25 October 2026
