In short

Didit vs Dotfile comes down to who runs the checks inside your KYB case. Didit verifies the company, runs a KYC for every owner and officer, screens them all and watches their transactions, in one account with published prices. Dotfile's own documentation says its identity checks, eKYC and AML screening come from partner providers.[2][3][5]

  • Dotfile's identity verification relies on providers such as Checkout, Veriff, Onfido and IDnow.[2] Didit screens each owner and officer and sends each one a linked KYC.[11]
  • Business verification on Didit runs from $2.00 per business, and the workflow builder shows each step's price while you build.[13][31] A pricing page or per-check price is not documented on the Dotfile pages reviewed (checked 2026-10-25).[1]
  • Didit runs transaction monitoring at $0.02 per transaction, and wallet screening at $0.15 per check in the same account.[10] Neither is documented as a Dotfile product on its public pages (checked 2026-10-25).[1]

Teams looking for a Dotfile alternative are usually onboarding business customers: payment institutions, lenders, crypto companies. The owners need a real identity check, everyone needs screening, and the money that moves afterwards needs watching.

Dotfile sells a business verification (KYB) platform that orchestrates registry, screening and identity providers.[1] We build Didit, so read this as our side. Every Dotfile fact below comes from Dotfile's own pages, read on 25 October 2026, and is cited.

KYB with a KYC that Didit runs for every owner

Didit's business verification starts with the registry. Company registry checks cover 220+ countries and territories, and you choose per country how much registry data you buy: company profile, shareholders, or ultimate beneficial owners.[13] Didit validates EU VAT numbers through VIES as part of the same verification.[14]

Then the people. Didit checks each declared owner and officer against the company's own documents, then screens them and sends each one a linked KYC.[11] Beneficial owners who need identity verification get their Didit KYC email automatically.[12] That KYC is Didit's own document check, passive liveness and face match, and its result lands on the business record. A full KYC check (ID verification, passive liveness, face match, and device and IP analysis) costs $0.33.[10]

Dotfile documents ID document checks for beneficial owners inside a KYB case.[2] The difference is who runs them. Dotfile's documentation says it relies on providers such as Checkout, Veriff and Onfido for video-selfie verification, and on IDnow and Veriff for ID documents.[2] Device and business-reputation signals come from Trustfull and TrueBiz.[7]

Dotfile's docs, read 25 October 2026: identity verification and ID document checks run through named partner providers.[2]

Company data, too

Dotfile's docs list INPI and Companies House as official government company-data sources, and say it relies on several third parties for business data, that depth varies by country, and that tiered data comes with varying costs on request.[4] On Didit, each country's tier shows its price in the workflow step.[13][31]

Screening the company and the people in one place

Didit screens the company and each person on it against 1,300+ AML lists at $0.20 per check, and keeps watching them afterwards for $0.07 per profile per year.[10] You can turn ongoing AML monitoring on for up to 1,000 customers in one API call, with a cost estimate before you commit, and each monitoring result carries its evidence.[15]

Dotfile documents AML screening through partners ComplyAdvantage and LSEG World-Check. With the World-Check integration, the customer needs an active World-Check One account with API access, and all match review and resolution happens in the World-Check One interface.[5]

Transactions after onboardingDidit transaction monitoring[16]Not documented on Dotfile's public pages (checked 2026-10-25)[1]

After onboarding: transaction monitoring and wallet screening

Didit scores every transaction against real-time rules at $0.02 per transaction and opens alerts and cases in the same console as the KYB record.[10][16] It ships over 150 preset transaction-monitoring rules, and you can backtest a rule against your own history before you switch it on, from the console, the API or an AI agent.[17][18] When a rule flags a transaction, Didit can hold it and ask the user for one selfie, matched against the face they already verified.[19] Didit drafts SAR, STR and other FIU reports from the case and exports them as goAML XML and PDF for your filing.[20]

For crypto businesses, Didit screens any crypto wallet address on demand for $0.15 per check, with a signed PDF report, and exchanges Travel Rule data in IVMS 101.[21][22] Wallet screening runs on blockchain-analytics providers, ordered, read and billed in the same Didit account. A transaction-monitoring product, wallet screening and Travel Rule data exchange are not documented as Dotfile products on its public pages (checked 2026-10-25).[1]

Agents that do the review work

Dotfile documents AI agents too: its Autonomy agents pre-investigate KYB cases and auto-approve routine ones using the customer's policy logic,[9] and its MCP connector is live for remote MCP clients.[8]

Didit is agentic across identity and fraud. The Investigator agent reads each verification, transaction alert or case waiting for review, writes a report with a recommendation and cites every piece of evidence it used. It decides on its own only within the policy and autonomy level your team sets, it never files a regulatory report, and every action is logged.[28] It runs on Didit's Growth plan and above, Didit enables it per organization, it is not available in sandbox, and it costs $0.20 per reviewed item. A support agent answers your users' support conversations from $0.02 per message.

Copilot works inside the Business Console. Describe the flow you need and Didit Copilot builds a validated draft workflow, citing the documentation it used; it also creates questionnaires and database validation steps.[30] Publishing requires your confirmation, and when it edits a workflow, a change card lists what changed and Undo reverts it.[29]

Your own agents connect through Didit's hosted MCP server at mcp.didit.me, over OAuth 2.1 with Log in with Didit, so there is no API key to paste.[26] An agent can create, backtest and install transaction-monitoring rules, then hand them to you in test mode, and it can explain why a session was declined by tracing the warning, status rule or reviewer override behind it.[27] Dotfile's announcement says its MCP connector signs in with a Dotfile account, with no API key, and runs with the user's role and permissions. It reads cases, checks and configuration, acts on cases and orders registry documents, while configuration changes stay in the console.[8]

Government and authoritative database checks on the people

Didit's catalog documents government and authoritative database checks in 45 countries plus a Global group: a government register in most countries, and a credit-bureau, financial-services, utility or residential file in some. They run in the same workflow as the owner's document and selfie.[23] Where the national register holds a photo, as in Argentina, Nigeria, Panama and South Africa, Didit matches the user's selfie against it.[24]

Dotfile's eKYC for individuals runs through a GBG partnership against national databases.[3]

Pricing: a published list against pricing by request

Didit publishes a list price for each module and charges only for the checks a workflow runs: business verification from $2.00, a full KYC check $0.33, AML screening $0.20, transaction monitoring $0.02 per transaction, wallet screening $0.15 per check.[10][13] You choose per country how much registry data you buy, and the builder shows each step's price before the flow goes live.[13][31]

A pricing page or per-check prices are not documented on the Dotfile pages reviewed (checked 2026-10-25), and the site's calls to action are sales demo requests.[1] Its billing documentation shows a subscription plan plus usage broken down by service type, and its company-data docs say tiered data comes with varying costs and to reach out for pricing details.[4][6] A self-serve signup or public sandbox is not documented on those pages either (checked 2026-10-25).[1]

Prices as of 25 October 2026

Didit's plans change on 1 November 2026. The per-check list prices quoted here stay the same on the new plans.[33]

Workflows and the evidence behind every decision

Didit's workflow builder lets branches merge back into one path and flags a branch that contradicts the outcome it routes to, before you publish.[29][31] A KYB flow can branch by region, route on session metadata, and read a local licence with Document AI, which reads any document you define and extracts the fields you choose for $0.20 per document.[10][30][31] Every session decision returns each check's result, the extracted fields, the capture images and videos, and the warnings behind the decision, through one API call.[32]

Does Dotfile verify beneficial owners?

Yes. Dotfile documents ID document checks for beneficial owners inside a KYB case, through providers such as Checkout, Veriff, Onfido and IDnow. Didit checks each owner and officer against the company's documents, screens them and sends each one a Didit KYC.[2][11]

How much does Dotfile cost?

A pricing page or per-check price is not documented on the Dotfile pages reviewed (checked 2026-10-25). Its docs describe a subscription plan plus usage, and tiered company data with varying costs available on request. Didit business verification runs from $2.00 per business.[1][4][6][13]

Through the Didit MCP, your agent can create, backtest and install transaction-monitoring rules and hand them to you in test mode.[8][27]

Can I run Didit next to Dotfile while I switch?

Yes. Each business verification is created through its own vendor's API, so you can route part of your business sign-ups to Didit, compare results and cost, and move the rest when your Dotfile agreement allows.

Is Didit a good Dotfile alternative?

Yes. You get KYB with a Didit-run KYC for every owner, AML screening, transaction monitoring and wallet screening in one account, with a published price for each module.[10][11][28]
