Didit vs Veriff: key differences in price, coverage and scope
Didit vs Veriff compared from each vendor's public pages: per-check prices and plan minimums, coverage, liveness tests, AML, KYB, transaction monitoring, human review and SDKs, with where each one fits.

In short
Didit and Veriff both verify identity documents and run biometric liveness checks, and each states document coverage in more than 200 countries and territories.[4][12] The main differences are in how you pay, how much of the compliance lifecycle sits on one API, and who reviews the hard cases.
- Veriff's self-serve plans run from $0.80 to $1.89 per verification, each with a monthly minimum of $49 to $209.[1] Didit charges $0.33 per full ID check, pay as you go.[11]
- Didit adds transaction monitoring and crypto wallet screening to the same API; Veriff's product page, as we read it on 23 October 2026, lists neither.[3][16]
- Veriff's Plus and Premium plans add human verification specialists and session video; Didit sets every session to Approved, Declined or In Review automatically, and your own team resolves the In Review cases.[1][21]
If you are weighing Didit vs Veriff, you probably already know both can read a passport and check that a real person is holding the phone. This post sets out the differences that change a buying decision: list prices and plan minimums, document and language coverage, fraud and liveness testing, anti-money laundering (AML) screening, business verification (KYB), what happens after onboarding, and how each one integrates.
We build Didit, so read this as one side of the comparison. Every Veriff fact below comes from Veriff's own public pages as we read them on 23 October 2026, and each one is cited. Where Veriff is stronger, we say so. Prices and features change, so check both vendors' pages before you sign.

Pricing: per-check prices against plan minimums
This is where the two differ most. Veriff publishes three self-serve plans. Essential costs $0.80 per verification with a $49 monthly minimum and is described as fully automated. Plus costs $1.39 with a $99 minimum and adds verification specialists, session video and fraud features called Risk Insights, FaceBlock and CrossLinks. Premium costs $1.89 with a $209 minimum and adds a branded flow, session deletion by API and bulk export.[1] Above that, the Enterprise plan is quoted by sales, is described as best for 5,000+ verifications a month, and offers volume discounts.[1][2]
Didit prices each check on its own, and you pay only for the checks a session actually runs. A full ID check, meaning the document, passive liveness, face match and device and IP analysis, comes to $0.33.[11]

The add-ons show the same pattern. On Veriff's self-serve plans, a PEP (politically exposed person) and sanctions check adds $0.64 per verification, ongoing monitoring adds $0.09, and two-year data retention adds $0.30.[1] At Didit, AML screening is $0.20 per check and ongoing AML monitoring is $0.07 per monitored profile per year.[11][24] Data retention is a setting from 1 month to 10 years rather than a paid add-on.[18]
| Line item | Didit | Veriff self-serve |
|---|---|---|
| Identity check | $0.33 full ID check[11] | $0.80, $1.39 or $1.89 by plan[1] |
| Monthly minimum | Pay as you go from prepaid credits; Free plan available | $49, $99 or $209 by plan[1] |
| Sanctions and PEP | $0.20 per check[11] | +$0.64 per verification[1] |
| Ongoing monitoring | $0.07 per monitored profile per year[11][24] | +$0.09 per verification[1] |
| Data retention | Setting, 1 month to 10 years[18] | +$0.30 per verification for two years, a self-serve add-on[1] |
| Proof of address | $0.20 per check[11] | No public price[1] |
| Enterprise volume | Talk to sales | Contact sales, volume discounts[2] |
Example at list price
Take one verification with a sanctions and PEP screen, at published list prices and before any volume discount. On Veriff Essential it is $0.80 plus the $0.64 add-on, $1.44 per verification.[1] On Didit it is $0.33 plus $0.20, $0.53.[11] Neither figure includes Enterprise discounts or custom quotes. The checks are not identical: Essential includes Veriff's biometric and liveness checks, and Didit's $0.33 includes device and IP analysis. Price your own workflow on both pricing pages.
Two points in Veriff's favour on pricing: its Enterprise FAQ says there are no setup or implementation charges, and that you are not charged for resubmission attempts, only for verification sessions.[2] Didit also bills a feature only when it finishes.[11]
Coverage and the verification flow
On paper, coverage is close. The two vendors do not count documents or territories the same way, so test the documents your users actually hold.
| Coverage | Didit | Veriff |
|---|---|---|
| Documents | 14,000+ document types[12] | 12.5K+ government-issued IDs[4] |
| Countries and territories | 220+[12] | 230+[4] |
| Flow languages | 54[13] | 50 languages and dialects[4] |
| NFC chip reading | In the iOS (iOS 15+), Android, React Native and Flutter SDKs[19] | NFC data listener documented for the iOS and Android SDKs[9] |
| Proof of address | Document check, $0.20[11] | Document check; a separate non-document address verification is listed on the same page[25] |
| Government registries | Lookups priced per country[11] | Australia, Chile, Brazil, Mexico, Colombia, USA, Argentina, UK[20] |
Fraud prevention and liveness
Liveness detection is where Veriff holds a stronger lab result. Veriff states that its liveness conforms to ISO/IEC 30107-3 at Level 1 and Level 2, tested by the iBeta lab.[8] Didit holds iBeta Level 1 under the same standard: the lab ran 360 presentation attacks across six attack categories, and none got through.[17]
Where Veriff is ahead
A Level 2 test uses harder attacks than Level 1. If your regulator or security team asks for Level 2 by name, Veriff has it today and Didit does not. Veriff also offers products certified under the UK Digital Identity and Attributes Trust Framework (DIATF) Gamma 0.4, and holds Cyber Essentials.[7]
Didit holds a different kind of evidence. Its certifications page states that after a year-long supervised test from November 2024 to July 2025, Spain's Tesoro Público, Banco de España, SEPBLAC and CNMV concluded that Didit's NFC and liveness verification is at least as safe as an in-person ID check under anti-money laundering rules.[17]
On security audits the two are level on the main frameworks. Veriff holds ISO/IEC 27001:2022, extended to ISO/IEC 27017 and 27018, and SOC 2 Type II.[7] Didit holds SOC 2 Type 2 (July 2026), ISO/IEC 27001:2022 and the ISO/IEC 27017 and 27018 extensions.[17] On data location, Veriff says personal data sits on AWS servers mainly in the EEA region,[22] and Didit processes and stores data in the EU by default.[18]
AML, KYB and what happens after onboarding
Most teams start with identity verification and then need screening, business checks and monitoring. This is where the scope of the two products differs.
AML screening. Veriff screens against sanctions and PEP lists including OFAC, UN, HMT, EU and DFAT, with sanctions updated every 15 minutes, PEP profiles checked daily and more than 8 million adverse media profiles.[5] Didit screens against 1,300+ global watchlists covering sanctions, PEPs, criminal records and adverse media, with a match score and a risk score for every hit.[14]
Business verification. Veriff states its KYB product covers over 300 jurisdictions, with 1,500 data points from 5,000 sources, and does not publish a price.[6] Didit sells registry checks in three tiers (Lite from $2.00, Shareholders, and ultimate beneficial owners), screens the company and each owner and officer, and can send each beneficial owner through their own identity check.[15]
After onboarding. Didit's transaction monitoring scores every fiat or crypto transaction against real-time rules, opens alerts and cases, and can send a user back through verification when a rule asks for it. Crypto wallet screening runs inside the same module.[16] Veriff's product page lists identity verification, proof of address, database verification, age validation and estimation, AML screening, biometric authentication, liveness, Fraud Protect, Fraud Intelligence and business verification. It does not list transaction monitoring or wallet screening.[3]
1Verify the person or the company
Document, liveness and face match, or a registry check with owners and officers.
2Screen against watchlists
Sanctions, PEPs and adverse media at onboarding, then ongoing monitoring.

Monitor every transaction
On Didit, the same API scores each transaction against real-time rules and screens the wallets in crypto transactions.[16]
Re-verify when risk changes
Veriff lists biometric authentication for returning users;[3] Didit re-verifies returning users for $0.10.[11]
The lifecycle after a verification. Transaction monitoring is the step only one of the two vendors lists.

Veriff's model suits teams that want the vendor to look at borderline cases for them.[1] Didit's suits teams that want to keep the decision, the evidence and the thresholds in-house.[21]
Integration and developer experience
Both integrate the same way: create a session through the API, send the user to a hosted page or open a mobile SDK, and receive the result by webhook.
| Integration | Didit | Veriff |
|---|---|---|
| Mobile SDKs | iOS, Android, React Native, Flutter[19] | iOS, Android, React Native, Flutter[9] |
| Web | Web SDK and hosted flow[19] | JavaScript SDK, InContext SDK, hosted page[9][1] |
| Getting started | Self-serve sandbox and no-code workflow builder | Self-serve trial; Enterprise gets a dedicated implementation team[1][2] |

- Rebuild the same workflow in Didit's workflow builder and price it on the pricing page.
- Map Veriff's decision statuses to Didit's Approved, Declined and In Review in your backend.
- Test with the documents and countries your users actually send.
- Route a share of new sign-ups to Didit and compare approval rates and cost.
- Set data retention and webhooks before you move the rest of the traffic.
