At Didit, we continue to take steps forward in our mission to humanize the internet and end online fraud. To this end, we have reached a new milestone: we have obtained the official registration as a provider of virtual currency exchange and electronic wallet custody services with the Bank of Spain, with registration number E158.
What does this registration mean? Although we are known for promoting a free identity verification service (KYC), we are expanding our horizons towards blockchain-based payment infrastructure services, designed especially for fintech companies looking for a specialized partner in this field, with full legal guarantee.
This registration allows us to operate throughout the transitional period of the MiCA (Markets in Crypto Assets) regulation, which positions us as a strategic ally for those organizations that want to move safely within the current complex regulatory frameworks.
For Héctor Carrillo, CFO of Didit, this registration "represents a significant step in our growth strategy". "Obtaining this license from the Bank of Spain allows us to expand our service offering and strengthen our position as a comprehensive technology provider for the financial sector. We are prepared to help more companies innovate in their blockchain payment services while complying with current regulations," says the executive.
Throughout this process, we have been guided by the law firm ATH21 to achieve registration. This is a milestone that endorses our ability to offer crypto asset custody and exchange services with the highest standards of professionalism.
