How identity verification works in Thailand.
- Fraud landscape
- Three pressures shape Thai identity fraud: deepfake injection against the BoT- and SEC-mandated electronic-KYC (e-KYC) flows on digital-asset exchanges and mobile banking, organised forgery of legacy laminated Thai ID cards in the tourism and remittance corridors, and synthetic-identity mule farming against PromptPay-linked accounts. Didit scores 200+ real-time fraud signals on every session — face morph, replay, injection, document tampering, device intelligence, IP geolocation.
- Compliance frameworks
- AMLA B.E. 2542 (Anti-Money Laundering Act)
- PDPA B.E. 2562 (Personal Data Protection)
- BoT e-KYC Guidelines (Notification SorNorChor 8/2562)
- Royal Decree on Digital Asset Businesses B.E. 2561
- Counter Terrorism and Proliferation of Weapons of Mass Destruction Financing Act B.E. 2559
- FATF 40 recommendations
